I bought this skin for the 6" Kindle because it didn't come with any kind of case (!!) and the Kindle seems so delicate. It can also be a tad slippery so the silicone skin makes it more grippy and easier to hold on to. It is easy to get on and off and the lovely light blue color I chose is sheer enough that you can still easily see the Page and Home buttons underneath. It also makes it easier to spot the Kindle around the house. Perhaps my house is too beige but the Kindle without a skin just seems to blend into everything! I haven't used the clip on light much yet but I like that it is versatile to use on real books as well, unlike some of the other lights designed specifically for the Kindle.
